Shutting Up Debs…For Now!

Hey guys,
Colin and I are currently writing the script for a full-length Never The Bride. Sadly, this means we won’t have the time to make and post short vids on this site. But with a bit of luck, you’ll see Demon Debs coming to the big screen soon!
Thanks very much for watching!

The Power of Song
Hi guys,
At last! The fourth part of “Never The Bride” — the story of Debs, the Bridesmaid from Hell.
In this monologue, Debs plans to advise Sylvia on her love life…with the help of a karaoke machine. Debs has man trouble herself, having attracted the attention of “a stalker”, aka Marcus from BTs. Is he looking for a hookup? Or that Abercrombie & Fitch sweater she got on her employee “swipe” card?!
Enjoy the show!

PS. Was this Jervis Street store inspired by our Marcus?

New Vid On The Way
Hi guys,
Sorry for the delay in posting! Nothing to do with the Hollywood writer’s strike, I’m afraid. I’ve simply been looking for a new job. So I was saving all my acting for interviews!
Thankfully, I’ve secured a new role, and am now free to pick up where I left off with Debs. I’ll be back to filming this weekend, so expect a new vid next week.
Again, apologies!

The Dirty Details
Hi guys!
Told you the next vid wouldn’t take too long!
This is the third installment of “Never The Bride” — the story of Debs the Bridesmaid from Hell. In this week’s monologue, Debs learns of groom Greg’s plans to get his lover into the Mile High Club, and let’s slip the downside of having sex in aeroplane toilets.
If you like it, please tune in next week for more!

The Ideal Man
Hi guys!
Sorry for the delay in releasing this video – technical problems (i.e. Colin!)
This is part two of “Never The Bride”, a play I’m co-writing with Colin. It stars Debs, the bridesmaid from Hell. In this monologue Debs learns some shocking news about the groom. Or as she fondly calls him, “gobber Greg”.
We’ve already filmed part three, and it will appear next week (promise!). So look out for it!

PS. The theme music is “Lend Me Your Face” from Irish band, Fight Like Apes. [mySpace]
A Day in the Life of Debs
Hi guys!
This is my first video about Debs, the bridesmaid from Hell. She’s a character I’m workshopping for my first play.
In this monologue Debs talks (and talks) about her stressful day at the fitting of Sylvia’s bridal dress. Luckily Jools the second bridesmaid was on hand for moral support.
It’s all very rough and ready at the moment, but I hope you’ll get a few laughs out of it.
If you like it, look out for the second video soon!

The World’s Most Famous Teenager
Hi guys!
Clara features as a rock star teenager in this Boyle family sketch. She acts myself and Colin off the screen!
A case of “do put your daughter on the stage, Mrs. Worthington!”

Who Needs A Hummer?
Hi guys!
In this sketch Jimmy tries to please daughter Jennifer on her confirmation day by renting a Hummer to take them to the church. That is, until he hears how much it costs.
It doesn’t feature moi but I highly recommend it all the same!

PS. Sorry for the shadows in this and earlier videos. It took us ages to figure out the lighting!
Jimmy’s Valentine
Hi guys!
Jimmy the cheapo declares his love for Jacinta in this solo piece by Colin.
Warning: contains one near-nude scene — buckets at the ready!

Our Daughter’s Joined A Cult
Hi guys!
This is a sketch featuring Colin, Clara and myself. It’s about working-class parents Jimmy and Jacinta struggling (and failing) to understand their daughter’s obsession with horseriding.
It’s the first one we did, which you’ll probably guess from the production values!
Still, hope you like it!
